There are some important differences between graphic designers and ui/ux specialists.
One of the biggest differences between graphic and UX design is scope. Graphic designers focus on visual elements. UX designers take a broader perspective by focusing on the interaction between the user and the product. Graphic design is often just one part of a larger user experience.
User experience (UX) design is different from user interface (UI) design, both are different from graphic design, but there is overlap between the three. A good professional designer will most likely have some knowledge of all three, but may specialize in one of them. In short, the difference between UX design and UI design is what is designed.
How they differ: The main difference is that UI designers may always be in charge of the usability testing and prototyping phases. It depends on the company. On the other hand, UXers play an important role at this stage of the process. This is not optional.
Graphic designers focus on the artwork and layout of a document, while user interface/user experience (ui/ux) specialists focus on how the user interacts with the document.
User experience (UX) and user interface (UI) designers specialize in interactive products or systems, such as websites, software, and applications. UI designers are concerned with the visual aesthetic or “feel” of the interfaces of the systems we interact with, while UX designers focus on the functional experience they provide.
How they differ: On the one hand, graphic design aims to convey ideas and/or evoke emotions by organizing information. The main tools are visual design principles such as visual hierarchy and weight, contrast, etc. UX, on the other hand, is designed to improve usability and focus on structured information and tasks. To organize information, UXers rely on layout methods, design principles, and more. To organize tasks, they use sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, etc.
User Experience Design (UX Design) and Graphic Design – These two design-oriented positions may sound similar. However, they use different skills to perform different tasks during the product development process. Graphic designers focus on visual elements, while UX designers focus on the overall interaction between the user and the product.
